Many sail changes yesterday and last night through squall lines. Making
good speed. Spectacular stars in between clouds. Saw Southern Cross before
departing Southern Hemisphere. Big decisions regarding crossing doldrums.
Had shave and solar shower to honor King Neptune and ask for safe passage
into his new hemisphere. I have crossed the equator 8 times under sail, and
1 under ship power. Cindy's scarf is flying alongside a daily U.S. yacht
ensign. I will ask for safe passage for her as well, and honor the complete
crossing with a nip of Mt. Gay Rum for King Neptune.
