Now I'm getting into the rythm of solo offshore sailing. The first
couple of days are always difficult as I adapt to short sleeps and
constant physical activity!

FINALLY, my stomach is better and I feel normal again (after my food
poisoning). I did what always helps, and just before sunset I took a
sea-water shower (with fresh water rinse of course) which made me feel
human again!

The upwind work is difficult for Roxy, and I haven't helped because I
messed up a couple of tacks, but we're out here to learn and progress
and that is important. Luckily, going upwind doesn't bother me too much
-I'm happy living on a bucking bronco at an angle of 30 degrees - it
just adds to the challenge! The good thing about Roxy is that the whole
chart table area "gimbles" so as I write this I am just about
horizontal!

I crossed tacks with Cali on Akena Verandas yesterday afternoon, and we
had a chat on the VHF whilst we were close.

That's all for now because I have to go and shake out the  reef! Another
20 minutes of intense activity......!!!!

Sam x
